EDM 45: Podcast Hosts Are Intellectual Geniuses
It’s really true guys, we are. In this weeks EDM it’s Myself, Brett, and a special guest who goes by the name of Ben, and runs a little thing called “Game Journalists Are Incompetent Fuckwits” which you should check out. Anyway, get right to it by downloading it here, on iTunes, or RSS.

Damn, I wish I was at home to record with you guys for this one. Hopefully next week!
OH LOL awesome, GJAIF has been the source of much entertainment lately. Can’t wait to listen in.
Podcast is back! Woo!
Actually, that title doesn’t sound strange or familiar.
I like this guy already. Game journalists ARE incompetent fuckwits.
The site that was launched by the super-conservative group got trolled to hell; people petitioned for stuff like “The Republican Party should work to bring back Firefly” or “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” I was part of it and it was glorious.
Wait a moment, there’s only three people on this podcast isn’t there. Is it because I have long hair and claimed to be able to drive? I already told you you were right and I was wrong about that.
Haven’t games been in 3D for like, 15 years now? …wait… surely you don’t mean… Like, as in “wear special glasses and the action jumps out at you” 3D? What the fuck is the point in that?!
Lol, you haven’t touched your wii in a really long time. Tee hee!
Anybody want a peanut?
…did I just hear Fallout MMO? And I wholeheartedly disagree that it’s a bad idea in any sense of the word; Square has already proven that they can’t make an MMO, and the amount of suck in their non-MMOs has increased logarithmically in recent years. As for Cataclysm, it’s the same WoW formula for an expansion pack, and I expect it’ll go the same way; most people will play it actively for a few weeks and get bored of it. Fantasy setting MMOs have been done to death, and I for one am fully in favor of something new and awesome.
Next week is live from CTCon, no? I’m certain I saw something in the convention booklet about Nerdfit doing a live podcast from one of the panel rooms.
That was the plan, Chris, but that’s not likely to happen, seeing as how I simply cannot afford to go out to a con this coming weekend.
You’re not missing anything… at all, ctcon is bleeeeeeeehhhhhhhh. But you best make it up here for AAC.
fuck you lee
Yo prove me wrong. Hartford is a terrible city, there’s no good place to get breakfast and I couldn’t even default to Dunkin Donuts because apparently THEY’RE CLOSED ON SATURDAY IN HARTFORD. The Tavern wasn’t even good last year after blowing my mind the year before, seriously it went from top tier hidden jewel to low tier bargrub. As for the con itself I’ve been down there twice and the only thing that was remotely fun was getting trashed last year, and yelling at code geass and laughing at all the drunks coming out of the Coldplay concert the year before.
What are the dates for AAC?
And I hate Connecticut with every ounce of my being, so I’m tempted to side with Lee on this one. Sorry Chris.
AAC is October 15-17th, so you’ve got plenty of time to start setting some cash aside.
BAH! There’s a very good chance I will be in Alaska that week!
It seems all of your complaints are with the stuff that’s AROUND Connecticon. Yeah, that stuff is all terrible. But Connecticon itself is fucking awesome.
My complaints are around connecicton because there’s nothing to do at Connecticon. The Cosplay Court Case? Would be funny if people could actually improve. The main events? Short of the Konami Kode usually pretty meh, and even that was poorly scheduled so I missed it. AMVs? meh, thats the one thing worth seeing at Anime Boston anyways because the quality of editing is orders of magnitude better. The vendors hall? Eh, I suppose it’s okay but nothing that would get me to spend 50$ so I could go spend more money. The videogame room? Why bother GU is down the road anyways. I suppose the artist ally is fine. The Cosplayers? As usual with the New England scene range from low tier to the every now and then pretty good but not mind blowing. The rave? lolololololol no, though I heard there was a psytrance guy last year but alas I missed it. They’ve got 2 nights they should have at the very least 4 distinct styles of edm.
I realize a lot of the same charges can be made about AAC but the fact is that there it’s a party the whole weekend, in Hartford its tough to even find the party.
CTcon this year is gonna be nuts. Like its going to blow CTcon last year out of the water
